GDG- Custer (and Gettysburg) On the Tube Again

In many respects, he was let down by Reno and Benteen.  His plan  conformed 
to the accepted tactics of the time.
 
You have to remember that at the time, Custer was perhaps the best Indian  
fighter in the army.  That's why the news of his death was such a national  
shock.
