The point, Peter, is that a good chunk of the people buried in Arlington
Cemetery were from the Civil War, and the vast majority of the people who
lived at Arlington were slaves.
Slavery is an integral part of Arlington, both the cemetery and the
plantation. You can't tell its story without emphasizing slavery and its role.

Al-
I did not give you a long dissertation on all the people who came and
went- including all the slaves who didn't "came & went".
Why ask me? the info is available online.
It's not like all I do in life is pet my kitty kat. Sometimes I respond
to your posts, you know! :-) !!!!

Interesting you don't seem to consider almost 200 human beings to be
people
living at Arlington. When asked who lived there, you only give the
owners
and their families. Nobody else matters to you.
I'll let others decide what that says.

Al Mackey

My friend-

You are killing me.
LOL- First GWP Custis and family lived there. (To be quick)
Then when GWPC died R.E. Lee lived there with his growing family.
What do I get for a prize?
